There are huge amounts of information & publications being circulated around the response to Covid-19. Rather than bombard councillors & residents with emails the Clerk will upload any bulletins/information resources etc to this page. Please bare with us, the Clerk only works part time.
Underskiddaw Parish Council are now meeting in virtual meeting rooms every second month as per the normal council meeting schedule. Virtual Meetings will continue for the foreseeable future. Members of the public can attend to listen to the meetings, and public participation queries can be submitted in writing 48hours before the meeting. If you have any Parish Council related concerns please email the clerk on Underskiddawparishclerk@hotmail.com .

NHS Volunteers- GoodSAM- This is an app which you can download from www.goodsamapp.org/NHS and you can sign up to support the NHS in one of 4 roles:
- Community Response Volunteer (help with shopping, medicine, and essential supplies)
- NHS Patient Transport Volunteer (transport home from hospital)
- NHS Transport Volunteer (transport of equipment between NHS sites)
- Check in and Chat Volunteer (short term telephone support to those at risk of loneliness)

This group will lead coordination of different levels of community response and produce resources to support volunteers & local groups, and where necessary link these with statutory services. Highways Works: Cumbria County Council Highways are operating a reduced operation during Covid-19 due to staff being redeployed to the front line response. During this time emergency works are being carried out:
Potholes- Category 1- High risk as a priority and only then Category 2 defects- Medium Risk
Flooding & Winter works if required
Footway & cycleway defects
Street lighting defects
Verge & sign maintenance (if essential for safety)
Essential bridge repairs
